This work includes two tools for making cause-and-effect reasoning visible and inspectable.

Perspectiva

Perspectiva helps stakeholders document and inspect causal assumptions behind policy models. The work contributed to Out of the Loop, winner of the IEEE VIS 2025 Best Short Paper award.

Causal text explorer

The second tool explores sentence-level causal networks extracted from text through topic clustering, centrality analysis, filtering, and search. This research supported ACCESS, a NAACL 2025 benchmark for abstract causal event discovery and reasoning.
